Last night on The Steve Shields Show, UALR Coach Steve Shields addressed the health of sophomore guard Taggart Lockhart.
"We're not real sure how long he's going to be out," he said.
Lockhart suffered a concussion in the first half of a Feb. 2 game against South Alabama. He returned on Feb. 14 vs. Arkansas State but was knocked out of the game after a flagrant foul in the second half. Lockhart was not in uniform for Saturday's game against Middle Tennessee.
Lockhart is averaging 5.1 points and 2.7 rebounds this season.
Concussions are taken much more seriously than they were 10-15 years ago. A concussion recently ended the career of North Texas' Jacob Holmen.
