BTH Analysis: Starters outweigh reserves in UALR loss to MT

The UALR starters were not bad. The bench just didn’t help much. That’s what the BTH analysis shows during Saturday’s 66-61 loss to Middle Tennessee at the Jack Stephens Center.

The top five players in the plus/minus rating were the five starters. They were an average of +0.8 on the night. The five reserves were an average of -5.8.


The best of the lot on Saturday was freshman point guard Josh Hagins, who finished a team best +6. With Hagins in the game UALR outscored Middle Tennessee 43-37. When he went to the bench UALR was outscored 29-18.

Collectively, when the starting five was on the court together, UALR outscored Middle Tennessee 25-22.
