BTH Analysis: UALR's White dominated despite scoring only 2 points

BURN THE HORSE
UALR’s starting lineup of John Gillon, Leroy Isler, James White, Will Neighbour and Michael Javes were a +18 in the BTH UALR Plus/Minus at the first media timeout. So you knew there were going to be some gaudy numbers for the night.

But freshman James White was ridiculous. White, probably more by coincidence than anything else, has struggled in this statistic most of the year. But he made up for it in a dominating way on Tuesday during UALR’s 91-30 victory over St. Gregory’s.

White may have only scored two points in his 20 minutes of action. But UALR outscored St. Gregory’s 60-12 during those 20 minutes. Math majors will quickly decipher that UALR only outscored St. Gregory’s 31-18 in the other 20 minutes.

That makes White a team best and season high +48 for the night. Incredible.
The rest of the top five were:
  • Michael Javes +35 (47-12)
  • Josh Hagins +34 (55-21)
  • Ben Dillard +34 (55-21)
  • Kemy Osse +31 (52-21)
The game got everyone, except Gus Leeper who hasn’t played since the season opener, on the plus side for the season. Neighbour still leads the way at +.29 per minute, +7.9 per game and +79 for the season. White improved to +22 for the season.
