BTH Analysis: UALR plus/minus numbers back to reality after loss to Cincinnati

BURN THE HORSE
The schedule giveth and the schedule taketh away – at least when it comes to BTH Plus/Minus statistics.
Most UALR players actually came out on the plus side if you combine Tuesday’s 61-point victory over St. Gregory’s with Thursday’s 34-point loss to Cincinnati.

The biggest beneficiary was freshman Josh Hagins, who didn’t play at Cincinnati.

But some others came out well on the plus side. Freshman James White was a combined +23, while Freshman Kemy Osse was a combined +21.

Thursday’s numbers were just as bad as one might expect. The best was turned in by freshman Stetson Billings, who finished a -7. Cincinnati beat UALR 32-25 during Billings’ 14 minutes of action. The rest of Thursday’s top five were:
  • Taggart Lockhart -10 (35-45)
  • Kemy Osse -10 (12-22)
  • Michael Javes -17 (17-34)
  • Will Neighbour -21 (26-47).
Hagins takes over the season per minute lead although there probably should be an asterisk. Neighbour still leads the season total (+52) and the last five (+53).
