UALR sent out the following via Twitter this morning:
Why? Best we can tell KABZ-FM 103.7, the Trojans' "Flagship" radio station, decided it would rather carry the final hour of Drive Time Sports. Tonight's UALR-Cincinnati game begins at 6 p.m. and Drive Time Sports runs from 4 to 7 p.m.
Something tells me they won't join UALR in progress at 7 either. Guessing they'll carry the Fayetteville women's game against Kansas at 7.
The problem is this. Those of us who live outside of Little Rock can't pick up 106.7 nearly as well. Those of us with shoddy Internet struggle to even get their Web cast. And those of us whose TVs were rendered useless by faulty DirecTV installation are completely SOL tonight.
I'm certain UALR sticks with The Buzz because its afraid UCA or ASU will swoop in and make a deal for the time if UALR goes elsewhere. Getting bumped for a Fayetteville men's game is one thing. Getting bumped like this is ridiculous.
Update: KABZ program director Justin Acri says you should get the 106.7 App if you want to listen to tonight's game. If you don't want to do that, you're again SOL. And if they forget to stream the game again, you're SOL.
