BURN THE HORSE
UALR faces a tough task tonight as the Trojans travel to Ole Miss to take
on the Rebels. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at Tad Smith Coliseum.

Honestly, UALR faced an uphill battle tonight even before events of this
week. But after Wednesday’s game at Louisiana Tech, it’s surprising the Las
Vegas line was only 15.5 points.
Obviously, UALR wants to go in and pull off the upset. But when you look
at the bigger picture, UALR wants to show some improvement tonight.
That means getting something out of the bigs inside the lane. That means
cutting down on turnovers. And that means continuing to rebound the basketball.
UALR has two home games coming up next. And improvement needs to be made
before then.
BURN UNIT
UALR sophomore guard Taggart Lockhart has been in double figures in both
Trojans’ games this season.
KEYS TO VICTORY
MARSHALL PLAN Ole Miss’ Marshall Henderson is averaging 24.5 points per
game. He’s made 11 of 24 three-pointers this season. Yes, that means he’s
putting up 12 per game. UALR’s got to keep a hand in his face. Six
three-pointers from Henderson won’t cut it.
WILL OR WON’T We’ve expected some inconsistent play from UALR’s Will
Neighbour early this season. He missed the entire summer recovering from
shoulder surgery. Then he missed a week of practice with an ankle injury. Then
he suffered a concussion in practice. But UALR needs Neighbour to make some
shots to open things up.
TURNING POINT Simply put. Five turnovers before the first media timeout
won’t cut it tonight.
VEGAS BABY
Ole Miss is favored by 15.5 points tonight. UALR is 0-1 as an underdog
this season.
