BURN THE HORSE
In a 40-point beatdown, it’s difficult to find some silver
lining.
In the plus/minus, sophomore Michael Javes
turned in the best mark of the night.
Javes, who finished with 8 points, 3 rebounds and a blocked
shot, was a -7 while on the court on Friday.
In Javes’ 22 minutes, UALR was outscored 37-30.
Other than freshman Stetson Billings’ -6 in 13 minutes, the
numbers quickly escalate from there. Freshman Josh Hagins (-18) was better than
Gillon (-25). Sophomore Taggart Lockhart didn’t score in 20 minutes, but was a
-12. Sophomore Ben Dillard was scoreless in 17 minutes during which UALR lost
by 23.
More surprising was the total from freshman James White. He
had 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and a steal. But he was -37 while in
the game.
Junior Will Neighbour had built up a team best mark through
the first two games. But his -26 last night dropped him into the minus column for
the season.
The season leaders
are now Casey Wilmath, Ted Crass and Andrew Poulter, who didn’t play on Friday.
Javes -1 for the season -0.3 per game and -0.02 per minute played are the best
of the rest
