UALR plays Kentucky closer than most thought.

BURN THE HORSE
First, let me say that I don’t gamble much. I’m just not very good at it. But it does fascinate me.

Know this, UALR has clearly become Las Vegas’ team. For the seventh consecutive game, UALR went in as an underdog and beat the spread. This time it was a 73-51 loss to Kentucky. The Vegas spread shrunk from 28 to 27 points during the day on Tuesday, but it didn’t matter.

UALR led for most of the game's first 24 minutes before Kentucky's size and athleticism just overwhelmed the Trojans in the second half.

So far, during this Vegas winning streak:

  • Missouri State - UALR got 9.5 and lost by 8.
  • Oral Roberts - UALR got 8 and lost by 3
  • Louisiana Tech - UALR got 4 and lost by 3
  • Illinois State - UALR got 13 and lost by 7
  • North Texas - UALR got 6.5 and won by 3
  • Denver - UALR got 14 and won by 7
  • Kentucky - UALR got 27 and lost by 22.
Up next, the Trojans take on Florida Atlantic on Saturday at home. Depending on what the Owls do against Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday, UALR could be favored for the first time this season.
