Reserves unable to keep pace in UALR loss to Missouri State

BURN THE HORSE
It was pretty easy to see where the game changed in Saturday’s loss to Missouri State. Freshman post player Michael Javes was unable to do much with Missouri State’s Caleb Patterson. Javes entered the game in a 16-16 tie in the first half. By the time he exited, UALR was down 28-22 and never recovered.

Most plus/minus ratings weren’t awful on Saturday. The starting lineup averaged a -2.

In limited minutes, Ben Dillard was best in limited action at +2. UALR outscored Missouri State 24-22 in Dillard’s minutes. The other starters were:
  • Taggart Lockhart: 41-41 (even)
  • Will Neighbour: 52-56 (-4)
  • D’Andre Williams: 54-58 (-4)
  • Courtney Jackson: 44-48 (-4)
The game slipped with the few minutes played by the reserves. Chuck Guy was a -10, Javes a -6, Reggie Fondre a -6, Tramar Sutherland a -4 and Eric Lawton a -4.
