They were discussing a lower seed's confidence in the NCAA Tournament and how things have changed since Anthony's days at UNLV.
Anthony went on to say that the year they won the championship they played a No. 16 seed and before the game the opposing teams’ players were asking the UNLV players for their jerseys and for autographs.
That year was 1990. And that No. 16 seed was UALR.
UALR lost that game 102-72 and Duke rolled through the NCAA Tournament, beating Duke by 30 points in the championship game.
Good story, if it's true. But it's highly doubtful a Mike Newell-coached team would have that approach.
