Solid start: UALR has dominated the first half in many of its games this season. Arkansas State is 5-2 this season when the Red Wolves lead at halftime. When they trail at the half they’re only 3-8. UALR is 7-6 when leading at the half but 0-5 when trailing at halftime. It can be difficult in Jonesboro but a good start is a necessity tonight.
Defense wins: UALR’s defense has been much better of late and will need to be again tonight. Arkansas State is 1-8 when scoring fewer than 60 points this season. UALR is 4-2 when holding opponents to fewer than 60.
Rebound it: Arkansas Staate is 7-3 when outrebounding its opponent and 0-7 when its opponent outrebounds them. UALR has outrebounded its opponent in six of its seven victories.
Inside out: UALR needs scoring on the inside and outside. The last time Courtney Jackson played in Jonesboro, he had 13 points and 13 rebounds. UALR needs to get something in the paint tonight.

Arkansas State is favored by three points. UALR is 3-10 straight up as a Vegas underdog this season. But the Trojans have worked the spread over pretty well of late. UALR has beaten the spread as an underdog eight consecutive times. Arkansas State is 4-0 this season as a Vegas favorite.
