BURN THE HORSE
It doesn't appear Sun Belt Conference officials who were involved in the sixth-man fiasco between Western Kentucky and Louisiana-Lafayette have faced repercussions.Brad Gaston, Reinaldo Acosta and Roger Ayers didn't notice Louisiana-Lafayette had six men on the court for the final plays of a victory over Western Kentucky. The Sun Belt promised "further review and appropriate action" to be "handled internally by the Sun Belt Conference office."
It doesn't appear its cost them any time behind the whistle, even when it comes to Sun Belt games.
Ayers worked an ACC game the Saturday after the incident and a Sun Belt game between Arkansas State and Florida Atlantic the following Monday. He's been busy calling games in the Big East, SEC and ACC since.
Acosta, now listed as "Ray Acosta" did UALR's game at Louisiana-Monroe last Thursday. He also worked the Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Florida International game on Saturday.
Gaston hasn't worked any more Sun Belt games but has been calling in other conferences, including the Mountain West and Southland.
