Shields will speak today at the Downtown Tipoff Club in North Little Rock and Tuesday at the UALR Tip-in club at the Jack Stephens Center.
DOWNTOWN TIPOFF CLUB
The event begins with a lunch buffet at 11:15 a.m. today at the North Little Rock chamber of commerce. And the Arvest Players of the Week will also be there. The boys player is Hooper Vint of Van Buren. Vint's father, Bobby, is UALR's radio color commentator. And UALR was the first of a handful of schools who offered scholarships to Vint.
Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.UALR TIP-IN CLUB
The event begins with lunch from Corky's BBQ at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the Legends Rom at the Stephens Center.Both Shields and women's coach Joe Foley will begin speaking at noon and will each bring a student-athlete to speak.
The cost is $10 for Tip-In Club members and $15 for non-members.
