Could NCAA rule changes actually benefit this year's UALR team?

It's no secret UALR Coach Steve Shields likes for his team to be known for its tough, physical defense. It's the reason Michigan State Coach Tom Izzo once referred to the Trojans as "junkyard dogs." But the NCAA rules have changed this year. Players can no longer hand check while playing defense. And players attempting to take a charge will have to be set sooner than ever.
