There was a time when UALR was dominating Western Kentucky.
That time has passed.
When UALR (8-7, 2-2 Sun Belt Conference) hosts Western
Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Trojans will be trying to snap an
eight-game losing streak to the Hilltoppers.
UALR’s last win over Western Kentucky came on Jan. 17, 2007,
when the Trojans held on a for a 71-69 victory at the Jack Stephens Center.
Just to demonstrate how long ago that was, UALR’s Rashad Jones Jennings had 10
points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocked shots in that game.
At the time, it gave UALR Coach Steve Shields a 4-4 record
against Western Kentucky. That included sweeping the Hilltoppers in the
2004-2005 season and narrow losses in both games in the 2005-2006 season. The

which had rallied from 19 points down with 10 minutes remaining to take the
