Call it an excuse if you want to. One team played Thursday night and had to ride a bus seven hours on Friday. One hadn't played in a week.UALR led for most of the game's first 34 minutes but ran out of gas late in a 65-53 loss to Western Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.
UALR played Thursday night against Louisiana-Lafayette while Western Kentucky didn't have a mid-week game.
It drops UALR to 4-2 in the Sun Belt and is the Trojans first road loss in conference play this season.
