D'Andre Williams' value proven in UALR victory over Arkansas State

BURN THE HORSE
D'Andre Williams
Anybody who has followed UALR this season knows the value of senior point guard D'Andre Williams. Never was his value more apparent than in Saturday's 63-62 victory over Arkansas State in Jonesboro.

First, Williams got hit in the mouth and had to exit the game to stop the bleeding. Then after he returned, he played the rest of the game in foul trouble. It limited him to only 4 points in 21 minutes. But UALR was absolutely clicking in those 21 minutes.

UALR outscored Arkansas State 39-29 with Williams on the court to give him a team-high +10 BTH plus/minus rating on Saturday. Not bad for what turned out to be a one-point victory.

UALR's starters finished:
  • D'Andre Williams +10 (39-29)
  • Courtney Jackson +4 (49-45)
  • Michael Javes +3 (35-32)
  • Taggart Lockhart +1 (50-49)
  • Chuck Guy -2 (51-53)
