UALR first since 2003 to sweep the North Texas-to-Denver road trip

BURN THE HORSE
How big was UALR’s 66-59 victory at Denver on Saturday? The Trojans became the first team since 2003 to sweep the one-week, North Texas to Denver (or vice versa) road trip.

UALR won at North Texas on Thursday before Flying to Denver for Saturday’s victory.

The last team to do it was Louisiana-Lafayette in the 2002-2003 season. On Jan. 30, 2003, the Ragin’ Cajuns won 89-58 at North Texas. Then on Feb. 1, 2003, they won 95-80 at Denver.

Some others have won at Denver over the years but didn’t play North Texas directly before or after the game.

Arkansas State nearly pulled it off in 2009. The Red Wolves won at Denver, but lost their next game at North Texas in triple overtime.
