UALR women rout Troy 83-48 on Saturday

  Things appear to be back to normal for the UALR women.
Marian Kursh had 16 points on Saturday.
   Chastity Reed scored 27 points as the UALR women cruised to an 83-48 victory over Troy on Saturday at the Jack Stephens Center. Marian Kursh added 16 points and Janette Merriex 13 points for the Trojans.
  UALR has won six consecutive games as it improved to 9-5 on the season and 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference play. UALR has also won 17 consecutive games at the Jack Stephens Center and 12 consecutive games in January.
  UALR used a 23-0 run to blow open a close game late in the first half. It turned a 21-17 lead into a 44-17 lead with 1:13 left in the half.
  UALR shot 57 percent from the field, including 8 of 9 shooting by Kursh.
  Reed made 13 of 22 field-goal attempts and added 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot.
  Shanika Butler had 7 points, 3 rebound and 11 assists without a turnover. Asriel Rolfe had 7 assists with only one turnover.
