A new commit for UALR?

Here's a name we haven't previously heard. We don't know much about him yet. And as you'll see in the links below, he's either from Venezuela or Columbia. Regardless, we may see another flag hanging at the Jack Stephens Center next season.
Finally, 6-10, 225-pound senior Michael Javes nearly recorded a triple-double in ACD's 74-60 win over Central Park Christian (Birmingham, Ala.)  last Friday with 18 points, 18 rebounds and nine blocked shots. A native of Columbia, Javes is committed to Arkansas-Little Rock.

Highschoolsports.net had this:
Arlington Country Day 74, Central Park 60: Michael Javes, a 6-foot-10 center who has committed to Arkansas-Little Rock, posted season-highs of 18 points and 18 rebounds for Country Day.
ESPN rates him an 85

He was named also a breakout performer by ESPN at a recent tournament

Breakout performer

Michael Javes (Jacksonville, Fla./Arlington Country Day)
2011 C, 6-10, 215 pounds
Let's get the facts straight here: Javes is nearly 6-10 and from Venezuela. Outside of that we're going to need to learn more about him. He's a new name in the game and we're thinking mid-majors will eat him up for his size and raw materials. There's a player in that body, but there is an existing language barrier that will need to be addressed

And there's this from Rivals
Michael Javes, C, ACD- Programs are scrambling for bigs and he's going to get looks from every level of college basketball. A big kid who runs the floor, blocks shots and does the dirty work. He's a good, but not crazy, athlete and gives effort on both ends of the floor. While his offense is a bit raw, he does get to the free throw line and doesn't look bad from there.
