Texas A&M beats UALR by 46

BURN THE HORSE
Mercifully, this game is over. It really never was a game as Texas A&M blitzed the UALR women from the start and went on to win 87-41 at Reed Arena.
This would have been a tough game even with senior guard Shanika Butler in the lineup. Without her, it's been a disaster.
Chastity Reed lead UALR with 17 points on 8 of 15 shooting. But she also had 9 turnovers. UALR had 24 turnovers, including 16 in the first half as the Aggies took a 40-19 lead. At that point, Texas A&M held a 26-0 advantage in points in the paint and a 16-0 advantage in points off turnovers.
The only bright spot for the Trojans was that Butler, who is recovering from surgery, did not play. Her status for Friday's game against Louisiana Tech at the Jack Stephens Center is not yet known.
